Juhi Chawla

Juhi Chawla ( born 13 November 1967) is an Indian actress, film producer and television presenter. After being crowned as the winner of the Miss India beauty contest in 1984, Chawla pursued an acting career.

















She went on to become one of the top leading actresses of Bollywood and starred in films ranging from the romances Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Darr to Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, which earned her the Filmfare Best Actress Award, to Yes Boss and Ishq.
















Chawla has been mostly recognised for her comic timing in films as well as her vivacious screen persona. During the 2000s, after having starred in over 70 mainstream Hindi films, Chawla started acting in art and independent films.

















She appeared in films in her native tongue of Punjabi, and has been mostly working in parallel cinema. She gained critical recognition for her performances in films like Jhankaar Beats, 3 Deewarein, My Brother Nikhil and Bas Ek Pal. Since 2000, Chawla branched out into film production and television presenting as well.

















Juhi Chawla was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. She is the first child born to Dr. S. Chawla and Mona Chawla. She completed her schooling from Ludhiana before the family moved over to Mumbai. She graduated from Sydenham College, Mumbai with a specialisation in HR.















She was the winner of Miss India title in 1984; later she won Best Costume Award for the Miss Universe contest in 1984. She is also a very good dancer. In a Baaje Payal (a film based on a collection of interviews for dancers/actresses) interview, she mentioned having learnt Kathak for three (3) years and regretted giving it up as it could have helped her in her career as an actress. She is also an accomplished classical singer and has been training for the last 6 years.

Sridevi

Sridevi (born on 13 August 1963) is an Indian actress who has starred in hundreds of Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam language films.

















Starting to act at the age of four, she made her debut as an adult in the late 1970s. After going on to establish herself as one of the leading actresses of her time, she left the industry in 1997 to raise her children.

















Sridevi started her career as a child actor in the 1967 Tamil movie Kandhan Karunai playing the role of young Lord Muruga and acted in many Tamil and Telugu movies from then on. Thunaivan was her first movie but released next to Kandhan Karunai. During her early teens, she acted in a number of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam movies as a lead actress.

















In 1976, Sridevi got her first big break as heroine in K. Balachander's Parallel Cinema Moondru Mudichu, where she starred opposite rising stars, Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan.

















She then followed with a succession of films with both Haasan and Rajnikanth. With the former, she was in movies such as Guru, Sankarlal, Sigappu Rojakkal, Thaayillamal Naan Illai, Meendum Kokila, Vazhvey Maayam, Varumayin Niram Sigappu, Neela Malargal, Moondram Pirai and 16 Vayathinile and with Rajnikanth, she appeared in movies such as Gayathri, Dharma Yuddham, Priya, Johnny, Ranuva Veeran, Pokkiri Raja, Thanikattu Raja, Adutha Varisu and Naan Adimai Illai.
















At the same time, Sridevi made Telugu movies, a number of which were made by K. Raghavendra Rao. With N. T. Rama Rao, she acted in movies such as Konda Veeti Simham, Vetagadu, Sardar Paparayudu and Bobbili Puli. With A. Nageswara Rao, she appeared in movies such as Mudulla Koduku, Premabhishekham, Bangaru Kanku and Premakanuka. With Krishna, she acted in movies such as Kanchu Kagada, Kalavari Samsaram, Krishnavatharam, Burripalem Bolludu, and Khaidi Rudrayya.

Shweta Tiwari

Shweta Tiwari (born October 4, 1980 in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India) is an Indian film and television actress. She gained popularity for her role of Prerna in Balaji Telefilms's television serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay that used to be aired on an Indian television channel STAR Plus. She is the winner of the fourth season of the reality television show Bigg Boss.

















While playing Khoobsoorat Bahu on stage, Shweta got noticed by a well-known director and started her acting career in 1999 with Kaleerein. She shot to fame for her role of Prerna in the television serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

















She has done several advertisements, dance shows, plays and cameos in other television serials. Some of her other popular television serials include Aane Wala Pal, Karam, Kahin Kissi Roz, Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat, Rishtey, Daddy Samjha Karo, Dost, Yatra, Naaginn and Ajeeb.

















She is also active in Bollywood and Bhojpuri cinema and has played supporting roles in Madhoshi (2004), Abrakadabra and Benny And Babloo (2010). She appeared in the Bhojpuri film Hamar Sayian Hindustani along with her ex-husband Raja Chaudhary.


















In 2008, she was seen as one of the judges on the 'Star Plus' reality dance show Aajaa Mahi Vay. She also took part in the reality show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, where she faced controversy over her shower in the jungle. She is also a producer and is producing television serials and films.

















On 8 January 2011, Shweta won the Indian television reality show, Bigg Boss 4 defeating Ashmit Patel, The Great Khali and Dolly Bindra in the finals. She is the first woman to win the show. The show was hosted by Salman Khan.

Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit (born Madhuri Shankar Dixit on 15 May 1967) is an Indian Bollywood actress. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, she established herself as one of Hindi cinema's leading actresses and accomplished dancers.

















She appeared in numerous commercial successes and was recognised for several performances as well as dance numbers in various films. Dixit is often cited by the media as one of the most prominent female actresses in Bollywood.

















In 2008, she was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India.

















Madhuri Dixit is a native of Mumbai, India. She was born Madhuri Shankar Dixit to Shankar and Snehlata Dixit, of a Marathi Brahmin family. Dixit attended Divine Child High School and Mumbai University and wanted to be a microbiologist. She was trained as a Kathak dancer.

















Madhuri Dixit made her acting debut in Abodh in 1984. After a few minor and supporting roles in movies like Dayavan and Vardi, she landed the lead female role in Tezaab (1988), for which she received her first Filmfare nomination. She then starred in a number of films that included Ram Lakhan (1989), Parinda (1989), Tridev (1989), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) and Prahaar (1991).
















In 1990, Dixit starred in Indra Kumar's romantic-drama Dil. She played the role of Madhu Mehra, a rich and arrogant girl who falls in love and later leaves her house to marry. The film became one of the biggest box-office hits of the year in India, and Dixit's performance earned her the first Filmfare Best Actress Award of her career.
